1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Waypoint (way.careers) is a service of Waypoint Careers Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17156394), registered office 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom. "We", "us" and "our" mean Waypoint Careers Limited. "You" means the person using Waypoint.

These terms apply when you buy from us, sign in to your dashboard or use any part of Waypoint. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not buy or use Waypoint.

You must be at least 18, and you use Waypoint for your own career.

2. What Waypoint is

Waypoint is a career intelligence service. Depending on your plan, it gives you:

What each plan includes is described on way.careers when you buy. Waypoint is self-serve, and support is by email.

3. What Waypoint is not

Waypoint is not a recruitment agency, employment agency, staffing firm or employer. We do not find you a job, put you forward to employers, arrange interviews or represent you, and we do not act for employers.

Nothing we provide is a promise of a job, an interview, a reply or any other outcome. Employers make their own hiring decisions for reasons we cannot control, including the market, their needs, and your own experience and approach.

Information about markets, employers, salaries, visas or work permits is general information. It is not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice. Check anything important with the employer or a qualified adviser.

4. Buying a plan and delivery

Prices are in US dollars and are charged by our payment provider, Stripe. Your bank may add its own fees.

We start work as soon as you pay. Discovery is normally delivered within 48 hours, and Starter, Plus and Pro within 5 working days, counted from when we have your completed brief. These are our normal times, not guarantees. If we need more information from you, or your brief needs more research, it can take longer and we will tell you.

Each plan states how many companies it includes. If your brief is very narrow (for example a small market or a rare role), we may suggest widening it so we can reach that number.

5. All purchases are final

Everything we deliver is made for you and work begins as soon as you pay, so all purchases are final and non-refundable. This includes plans, upgrades, add-ons and Branding Suite tools.

Instead of refunds, we put things right:

Replacements and swaps cannot be exchanged for money.

By paying, you ask us to start work straight away. Any right to cancel ends once your map or other digital content has been delivered.

Payment disputes. If you think a charge is wrong, email hello@way.careers first. If you dispute a valid charge with your bank or card issuer, we may pause your access while the dispute is open, and we may share records of your purchase, your acceptance of these terms and your use of Waypoint with our payment provider.

6. Waypoint Live

7. Upgrades, add-ons and referrals

8. Access provided by an employer

If your employer or another organisation pays for your seat:

9. Your account

10. Using your map and its contacts

Your map is made for you, for your own job search. It contains business information about companies and the people who work there, gathered from public sources and business data providers.

You may:

You must not:

You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your messages, including anti-spam, privacy and data protection laws where you and the people you contact are.

Your map is not exclusive. The companies and people in it are not reserved for you, and other Waypoint customers may approach the same companies or people.

Contact details change. We check emails when we deliver them, but people move roles and companies change their systems, so we cannot promise that every detail is current or that every email will be delivered.

11. Outreach and Gmail

12. AI, the Branding Suite and headshots

13. Pointy and messages to us

Pointy is an AI assistant. Its answers can be wrong, so check anything important. Our team can see your Pointy conversations and the messages you send us, so that we can help you, and we may join a conversation to answer you directly.

14. Intellectual property

15. Acceptable use

You must not:

16. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account, without refund, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. This includes misuse of contact data, spam, sharing your dashboard and dishonest payment disputes.

You can stop using Waypoint at any time and ask us to delete your data, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

17. Availability and changes to Waypoint

We work to keep Waypoint available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

Waypoint relies on other services, such as Google, Stripe and data providers. We are not responsible for their outages or changes.

Openings come from public job sources and employers' own websites. We do not check every listing, and we are not responsible for third-party websites or employers.

18. Our liability

19. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of emails you sent, material you uploaded, or your misuse of Waypoint or its contact data, you are responsible for the resulting losses and reasonable costs, to the extent the law allows.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Waypoint or the law changes. We will show the new version in your dashboard and ask you to accept it before you continue, and we will email active Live subscribers about important changes. Each version is dated, and we keep a record of the version you accepted. Earlier versions are kept at way.careers/legal.

21. General

22. Law and disputes

English law governs these terms, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first: most issues are resolved quickly by email.
